Planning information, not a site inspection

Measure & Mend provides general educational material and arithmetic tools. Results are estimates based on the measurements and options entered. They are not engineering, architectural, environmental, legal, insurance, code, permitting, medical, or trade advice, and they do not certify that work is safe or compliant.

Information that takes priority

The current product label and technical data sheet, approved plans, manufacturer installation instructions, local building department, utility requirements, permit conditions, and a qualified professional's site-specific direction take priority over this site. Stop and investigate when observed conditions do not match a calculator's stated assumptions.

Hazardous and licensed work

Do not disturb suspected lead paint, asbestos-containing material, mold-contaminated assemblies, or other hazardous material based only on an online guide. Structural, gas, electrical, refrigerant, major plumbing, roofing, excavation, and some insulation or remediation work may require permits, licensing, testing, or specialized protection. Rules vary by location.

Accuracy and availability

Sources are reviewed on the dates shown, but documents, products, and rules can change. We may correct, revise, add, or remove content without notice. The service is provided as available, without a promise that every page or external link will remain uninterrupted.

Advertising and external links

Advertising, if enabled, is labeled and optional. A sponsored link leads to a third party governed by its own terms and privacy practices. A source citation or external link does not imply endorsement of a supplier, product, or service.

Responsible use

You are responsible for checking measurements, choosing appropriate materials, following safety instructions, obtaining permits, and deciding when a qualified professional is needed. Do not use the site to automate ad interactions, overload the service, or misrepresent its content as a site-specific approval.
